Community

The Anguilla Community Group was formed in November 2016 to unite the former Anguillian Anguilla groups in Slough. The Anguilla Community group focuses on Anguillians in the Slough and in Anguilla We focus on the following priorities in the community health education the elderly children and the bereaved. The Anguilla Community Group has supported Anguilla after the devastating hurricane Irma which caused great destruction to the island in 2017 by sending to the island 2 large containers of food toiletries clothes bedding batteries torches tools and other necessary items to help the people on the island. During the Coronavirus pandemic the Anguilla Community Group sent medical items, bedding, incontinent pads and toiletries to the Miriam Gumbs Care Home and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. We supported the Cancel Cancer Africa by sending an electric mobility scooter, walking frames, medical items, incontinence pads, medicine cabinets, toiletries and armchairs for the hospital in Africa. We also helped with donations for the St. Vincent Volcano appeal.
